Steve has an Engineering undergrad and worked as a Software Engineer in England before following the call to YWAM (The King's Lodge), where he met his wife, Kristianne. In 2006 they moved to Canada, to Kristianne's hometown of Penticton, where Steve worked as a software engineer again. In 2010, the Baileys moved to Saskatchewan for Steve to attend Briercrest Seminary. He graduated 3 years later with a Master of Divinity in Biblical Studies, and the Baileys moved to West Kelowna, where Steve pastored at First Baptist for a couple of years.
His passion for preaching the word of God drew Steve into ministry, and his desire to see everyone discipled and discipling led to him living out his calling at FBC as the Belong Team leader. Steve is ordained with the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada.
The Baileys have 4 boys, 2 born in England and 2 in Canada. Steve is a HUGE real football fan and supports Sheffield United, his hometown team. As if to prove his Englishness, Steve is also a cricket fan and could happily watch all 5 days of an England test match!
